Dr Jolene Azzopardi is an acupuncturist, doula & mother of two sons ages 14 & 19, with over two decades of clinical experience, dedicated to supporting women through every stage of their journey, from menstruation and fertility, to pregnancy, birth, and menopause.

She holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) and a Master of Science (Research), both from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), is ANTA & AHPRA Registered, and has been in practice since 2001. Jolene’s clinical approach is grounded in Gentle Japanese Meridian-based Acupuncture, enriched by advanced post graduate training in Australia and internationally, including China, Japan, France, Portugal, Berlin, and New Zealand.

Her treatments integrate a variety of gentle techniques, including insertion and classical non-insertion needling, moxibustion, and cupping. As a qualified doula, Jolene also provides compassionate support for women and their partners throughout the fertility, pregnancy, and birthing journey.

A formative trip to Japan as a teenager not only inspired Jolene’s interest in energetic medicine and further interest into Japanese culture but in addition became the origin of her lifelong love of tea. This inspiration lead her to develop in recent years a clinical range of naturopathically formulated teas to further compliment her practice. The teas are hand-blended from certified organic ingredients, locally made and formulated to support women’s wellness, period pain, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and peri-menopause.

After practising in Newcastle for more than 20 years, Jolene has recently joined Cocoon Bondi, where she continues to support women and their partners. She feels privileged to have worked with hundreds of women in their fertility and pregnancy journeys and is committed to creating a calm, nurturing space where women feel supported, empowered, and at peace throughout their reproductive journey.
